Current compensation control strategy for restraining thrust fluctuation of PMLSM

The paper mainly discusses the thrust fluctuation resulting from end-effect of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) which is used in modern top-end numerical control machines.The thrust fluctuation figures were obtained by finite element analysis based on experimental correction.The PMSLM current compensation control experimental system using TMS320LF2407 was established by(indexing) the rotor position θ_r and given current i_q of current compensation model and planar compensation table,which is implemented in digital format.Comparing with no compensation control strategy,the(experimental) results show that the proposed method effectively reduces the speed fluctuation rate caused by thrust fluctuation,so the speedy look-up current compensation control strategy using the known(compensation) model is feasible and effective.
