Catalyst for Dehydrogenation of sec-Butyl Alcohol to Methyl Ethyl Ketone

BC-DH2004 catalyst was used in dehydrogenation of sec-butyl alcohol(SBA)to prepare methyl ethyl ketone(MEK).Heat stabilities of different catalysts for dehydrogenation of SBA were studied.Effects of catalyst bulk density,promoter content and feedstock composition on its catalytic performances were investigated.BC-DH2004 catalyst could be reused for several cycles.Under temperature 250-270℃ and liquid hourly space velocity 4h~(-1),mass fractions of MEK and C_8 ketone in products of SBA dehydrogenation were more than 80% and less than 3%,respectively.Running period of BC-DH2004 catalyst was longer than 1 250h,therefore catalyst could be reliably used in industry.
