Research Progress in Catalysis for Clean Organic Synthesis in Water-Medium

The use of water instead of organic solvents as reaction medium for organic synthesis exhibits advantage in realizing green chemistry and developing theory of organic reactions.The keystone is design of high efficiency catalysts.This article gave a brief introduction of research progress in water-medium clean organic reactions by using homogeneous catalysts,phase-transfer catalysts and heterogeneous catalyst,especially of work on design of supported metallic catalysts, immobilized orgnometallic catalysts and their applications in aqueous Ullmann coupling reactions, isomerization of homoallylic alcohol and Barbier reactions.
