Synthesis of Polyaniline by Adsorption Polymerization on Acetylene Black

YangLeiling and WuShijie(Beijing Research Institutc of Chemical Industry,Beijing 100013)LiuQingguo and Qiu Weihua(Department of physics and Chemistry,Beijing University of Science and Technology,Beijing 100083)
A new process of acetylene black adsorption polymerization has been studied and used in thechemical oxidation polymerization of aniline to improve the yield and polymer bulk density with-out obviously affecting the conductivity. The new process modifies the morphology of the PAnpowder rendering it more fine and homogeneous, thus improving the film processibility and theelectrochemical properties of the PAn cathode film made by solution casting technique. The papertype Li/PAn battery using this PAn cathode and modified PEO electrolyte film exhibits promisingcharacteristics including the capacity and reversibility of the rechargeable Li/PAn battery.
