Research Progress in the Counter Electrode for Dye Sensitized Solar Cells

The counter electrode is an important component for dye sensitized solar cells(DSSC). Carbon material has attracted much attention of researchers because of its low cost, high chemical and thermal stability. Recently, carbon materials were applied in the counter electrodes for DSSC by researchers. Moreover, effect of carbon materials on I3-reduction reaction and the cell efficiency was investigated. In this paper, effect of carbon materials applied in the preparation of counter electrodes on I3- reduction reaction and cell efficiency was analyzed.
