Molten Lithium Metaborate-Determination of Tantalum and Niobium in Geological samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry

Molten lithium metaborate method was used to decompose the sample, and the sample was dissolved by ultrasonic cleaner. In 5% aqua regia medium, tantalum and niobium in rock were directly measured by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The method detection limits of Nb and Ta were 0.11 μg·g-1 and 0.045 μg·g-1. Recoveries of the method were between 95.6%~104.4%, precision of the method was between 0.79%~ 6.59%(RSD%). The method has low detection limit, simple operation, high precision, high accuracy, fast analysis and other characteristics.
