The Intensity Choice of Exercise Project on Elderly Type 2 Diabetes Patients

Objective To evaluate the intensity of exercise project on elderly type 2 diabetes patients. Methods 30 elderly type 2 diabetes patients were loaded with exercise, 50 m/min, 70 m/min, 100 m/min walk speed in intensity at 30～35 minutes 4 times per day, exercise quantity was calculated as total feeding caloric-total caloric consumed in routine activity+1 130.44 kJ. FBS, PBS, were evaluated after exercise. Results All patients can endure exercise intensity of 50 m/min walk speed, 28 patients can endure 70 m/min walk speed, and only 2 patients can endure 100 m/min walk speed. Three walk speeds have effects of improving FBS, PBS. 28 patients were loaded with exercise, 70 m/min walk speed and 2 patients with 50 m/min walk speed two weeks. A significant decrease in FBS, PBS were seen after two weeks exercise. There were not complications occurred during exercise. Conclusion The data suggest that the appropriate intensity assure effective and safe of exercise project in elderly type 2 diabetes patients.
