Studies on Fe-Si Cross-linked Bentonite Adsorbing Cr~(6+) in Imitated Wastewater

The bentonite modified by Fe-Si is synthesized and used to adsorb Cr~(6+) in imitated wastewater. The optimum adsorption conditions are pH=11,the amount of adsorbent 8 g/L, stirring 15 min .The removal rate of Cr~(6+) is 87.55 %.The adsorption isotherm of Fe-Si cross-linked bentonite is studied. It is found that the Freundlich equation is suitable for Fe-Si cross-linked bentonite sorbents.
