Elastic-Plastic Time History Analytical Method for Marco-Finite Element Model of R.C Frame-Wall Structure

In order to simplify the calculation,the research is carried out for the macrofinite element of R/C column and shear wall,the nonlinear time history analysis method for this kind of structures is developed in which "a member-story model" is used as the dynamic analytical model for the whole structure.Macro-finite element models are adopted for R/C column and shear wall,the contribution of fringe column for torsional stiffness is considered,the different restoring performances are used to simulate the different characteristic of steel and concrete.Comparison between analytical results and the results of shaking table tests show that the calculated time histories of the frame-wall model are agreeable to the tested ones,the analytical method developed in this paper is simple and reliable.Furthermore,the structure will turn because the center of mass is apart from the center of stiffness.The retortion will increase the burden of members on the edge of structure,so the retortion should be considered for the nonlinear analysis of structures.
