An Experimental Study for Horizontal Well Flow under the Influence of the Inflow Through Perforation

Experimental simulation system is employed to investigate the variable mass flow in perforation completed horizontal wellbore. Experimental data show that inflow through perforation has a great effect on the flow resistance in the horizontal wellbore. It is found by analysis that the flow resistance in the horizontal wellbore is made of three parts: wall friction loss, acceleration loss and mixture loss, and the mixture loss is mainly influenced by main flow velocity and perforation flow velocity. In fact, for constant main flow velocity,the mixture loss increases with the increasing of perforation flow velocity, and for constant perforation flow velocity, the mixture loss will also increase with the increasing of the main flow velocity.
