Influence of Different Cultivation Conditions on Biochemistry Components of Rice Culms

GUO Yu-hua,ZHU Si-guang,ZHANG Long-bu (Shenyang Agricultural University,Shenyang110161,China)
Three biochemistry components of7varieties with different lodging-resistances at2nitrogen levels and2planting densities were determined. The relationships between the components and lodging resistances of the basal culms were analyzed. The results inˉdicated that there was no relationship between starch content and stem strength, while the contents of cellulose and lignin were signifiˉcantly correlated with stem strength. The decrease of nitrogen fertilizer caused the increase of the contents of cellulose and lignin.Sparse planting showed the same affects. There were evident differences between varieties in the3biochemistries.The cellulose conˉtent of the varieties with low lodging resistance was sensitive to the amount of nitrogen fertilizer.
