Study on Producing Wheat Haploid Through Hybridization Between Wheat and Maize

Wide hybridizations had been done between 10 wheat combinations and 2 varieties of maize(Shennuo 1 and shentain 1).Different concentrations of 2,4-D solution were injected to crossed spikes in order to gain haploid embryo.The results showed that 2,4-D solution was indispensable to induction of haploid embryo.Different wheat combinations had significant difference on the frequencies of embryo formation.The frequencies of embryo formation of different maize were that Shennuo 1 Shentian 1.The effect of different concentrations of 2,4-D solution to the frequencies of embryo formation was 150mg·L-1100mg·L-1200mg·L-150mg·L-1.
