Production and Yield Increment Potential of Paddy Rice in Jilin Province

We analyzed rice production status in Jilin Province in in recent years.With the inceasing progresses of science and technology in the rice cultivation the rice yield has increased year by year.The total out put was 263500 tons,per unit area yield was 4005kg·hm-2 during 1960s,while the total yield was 656000 tons,per unit area yield was 9019kg·hm-2 in 2011,at the same time rice production faced with problems of area reduce,yield decrease in different degree,serious natural calamity,much lower degree of integration and complementarity in technology which restricted the rice yield and the sustainable development of rice production.To deal with the above problems the measures were proposed for developing potentialities of yield in aspects of area yield,variety,regional advantage,and the strategy of improving the yield of rice.
