Objective To observe the expressions of angiotensinⅡ(AⅡ)in asthmatic children and effects of(AⅡ) on expressions of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)of peripheral blood mononuclear(PBMC).Method AⅡ was detected in 21 exacerbation of asthmatic children and 11 healthy children. Results The expressions of AⅡ in 21 exacerbation of asthmatic children obviously increased compared with those in 11 healthy children(113.4±47.1) ng/L vs((45.9±)30.6) ng/L(P0.05).After 24 hours, culture of PBMC with AⅡ(10~(-9),10~(-8),10~(-7),10~(-6)mol/L),the expressions of MCP-1 and ICAM-1 were more than those in the controls. It was the most in 10~(-6) mol/L of AⅡ.After AⅡ stimulating 2,24,48 hours, the expressions of MCP-1 and ICAM-1 increased significantly in 24,48 hours. They reached the highest in 24 hours. Conclusion The expressions of AⅡ in exacerbation of asthmatic children increase and AⅡ may stimulate PBMC to express MCP-1 and ICAM-1 to involve the inflammation of asthma.
