Repair and reconstruction of spontaneous rupture of finger extensor tendon

Objective To investigate the treatment programs and curative effects of spontaneous rupture of the finger extensor tendons on different spot.Methods 25 patients were included in this research group.22 cases were diagnosed as Spontaneous rupture of the extensor tendon region I.3 cases occurred in spontaneous rupture of the extensor tendon region VI in middle-ring and little finger.And 4 cases occurred in the extensor pollicis longus tendon.All of them were repaired and reconstructed followed by functional exercise.results The excellent and good rate by direct suture and repair in situ of Extensor tendon region I was 100%.The rate by transfering Index finger proprius tendon in the treatment of spontaneous rupture of extensor pollicis longus tendon was 85%;And the rate by repairing the rupture of extensor tendon region VI in ring and little finger with tendon of musculus extensor carpi radialis brevis was 75%.Conclusion It is often accompanied by pathologic basis(such as inflammation crosion and bone fracture-wear)in the injury of spontaneous rupture of finger extensor tendons.Definite curative effect can be achieved by method of direct suture and repair in situ-arturodesis of DIP and tendon transfer.
