Diffraction of Fractals and Semi-fractals and Its Application in the Controlled Growth of Crystals

By studying the fractals and the crystals which have the property of fractals,based on the electro-addressable spatial light modulator and Matlab programming,this article discussed the features of Fraunhofer diffraction of the absolute fractals and the crystals as semi-fractals simulated by DLA model.The article also analyzed how the circumstances and time affect the growth and the shape of crystals,and focused on making a distinction and summarizing between different occasions.With the sample made in the laboratory,the real pictures of diffraction of copper electrodeposits as semi-crystals were documented.After analyzing the pictures,a new way to control the crystal growth was put forward,its advantages and further-study points were discussed.
