Application of coherence analysis technology in the prediction of fractured shale reservoirs and its effect analysis

In Luojia area of Shengli Oilfield fractured shale reservoirs developed mainly in some special petrofacies such as calcareous oil sludge rock and oil shale. Tectonic fissures dominate the reservoirs. They are closely related with faults. Therefore, the key to the prediction of fractured shale reservoirs lies in seismic facies analysis of fractured shale reservoirs and fine description of faults. In combination with the specific geologic characteristics of the work area, we successfully predict the favourable sedimentary facies for fractured shale reservoir development, and depict fracture system finely through applying coherence analysis, which lays sound foundations for comprehensive description of shale fracture in the area.
