BLOCK FAULTING AND FORMATION OF OIL AND GAS FIELDS ASSOCIATED WITH BURIED HILLS IN BOHAI BAY BASIN

The basin is a product of block faulting during the crustal movement in Paleogene, dissected by more than fifty major fault, into eighty odd fault blocks of varying sizes and shapes. Geological development of the basin is reviewed and different typcs of oil occurrences are described, putting spectal emphasis on oil accumulations associated with buried bills.
