SCALING CRITERIA FOR POLYMER FLOODING EXPERIMENTS

The non-Newtonian effect of polymer solution was not taken into account in the seal- ing criteria for polymer flooding experiments in studies carried out so far and no method was presented to analyze the effects on the predicted results when a certain similarity group is ne- glected. New scaling criteria for polymer flood experiments are formulated in our work, with non-Newtonian effect being considered. And also, a numerical method is presented for e- valuating the validity of scaling criteria and for doing sensitivity analyses, Five different ap- proaches to satisfying the scaling criteria for application are given.
