Studies on the Effective Constituent,Pharmacological Effects and Clinical Application of Houttuynia Cordra

Houttuynia cordata was found to contain decanoyl acetaldehyde,capric aldehyde,lauric aldehyde,methyl n nonylketone,and decanoyl acetaldehyde which is an effective constituent against pathogenic bacteria.Pharmacological researches show that Houttuynia cordata has the functions of antibiosis,antivirus,increasing immunity and anti inflammation.So,it has been widely used in curing diseases in such systems as respiration,ophthalmology,otolaryngology and digestion.
