Analysis on Detection of Mycoplasma and Chlamydia and Drug Sensitivity Test of Mycoplasma Infection in 2,556 Outpatients

PAN Wu-hong,KUAI Di-wen,WANG Xu-ping (The Second People's Hospital of Yueyang,Yueyang 414000,Hunan,China)
Objective To investigate the infection rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum (Uu),Mycoplasma hominis (Mh),and Chlamydia trachomatis (Ct) in the outpatients, and to analyze medicine sensitivity tests of Mycoplasma to ten commonly-used drugs. Methods The infection rates of pathogens were detected by Zhuhai Yin-ke reagent and the British Li-ming reagent, and the results of drug sensitivity tests to mycoplasma were analyzed. Results The total positive rate of infection was 55.8% among 2,556 outpatients' samples from The Second People's Hospital of Yueyang from January 2006 to October 2009,and the positive rates of infection in males and females were 40.7% and 75.3%,respectively.The total positive rates of infection with Uu,Mh,and Ct were 41.7%,23.1%,and 14.8%,respectively.The positive rates of simplex infection with Uu,Mh,and Ct were 22.3%,5.6%,and 4.9%,respectively.The infection rate of the 20~30-year-old age group was the highest (64.3%,490/762).The positive rate of infection in every year was not very different. The top three drug sensitivity rates to mycoplasma were doxycycline (81.3%),josamycin (73.4%),and minocycline (71.1%),respectively.The top three drug resistance rates to mycoplasma were ofloxacin (57.6%),ciprofloxacin (55.7%),and azithromycin (51.7%).Conclusions The regional infection rates of mycoplasma and chlamydia are both higher, and the infection rate of females is higher than that of males.Doxycycline, josamycin, and minocin are the first choice medicines for treating the infection.Education about sexual health care and morality orientation in marriage should be strengthened among the susceptible population of NGU.
