3D Elasto-plastic Numerical Simulation of Behavior of Group Piles

Interaction between group piles and rectangle shaped cap in a bridge was analyzed with 3D elastoplastic finite element method.The spring model was used in hyperbolic constitutive equation to model the pilesoil-pile interaction under the vertical load assuming consistency of horizontal displacement on the interface between pile and soil.The curve of settlement and load of pile foundation,the distribution of axial force on pile top,the curve of load or settlement on cap and axial force on top pile,the distribution of axial force on pile,behavior of group pile foundation and efficiency of pile groups were thoroughly analyzed with numerical analytical results.
