Numerical study on glass fiber reinforced cement with different incorporation rates

In considering of the heterogeneous properties of existing glass fiber reinforced cement(GRC),a numerical model of GRC with different incorporation rates was presented to study the failure process and failure mechanism of GRC under three-point bending load.The fracture track,phenomenon of crack initiation,coalescence and development,the crack interaction and final penetration were simulated.Analyses were made on the ultimate failure models,completed load-displacement curve,the spatio-temporal distribution and strain energy of acoustic emission with different incorporation GRC.Results show show that the bending strength and toughness of GRC is higher with increase of incorporation rate of glass fiber.
