Effect of Pulse-activating Powder Combined with the Roast Glycyrrhiza Decoction on Cultured Rat Myocardial Cells Infected with Coxsackie Virus B_3

Objective To study the anti-viral effect and its mechanism of pulse-activating powder combined with the roast Glycyrrhiza decoction adjusted juice Ⅱ(PGPⅡ) on the cultured rat myocardial cells were infected with Coxsackie virus B3.Methods The beating myocardial cells were obtained from the ventricular myocardium of newborn Sparaque-Dawlrvey rats and incubated for 48 hours and inoculated with 103TCID50 of Coxsackie virus B3 virus.The effect of pulse-activating powder combined with the roast Glycyrrhiza decoction adjusted juiceⅠ,(PGPⅠ) and PGPⅡ on the viral mupcarditis was obseced.Results The PGPⅡ significantly alleviated the pacthological changes of myocardial cells,improved the percent of the beating cell, reduced the activities of lactate dehydrogenase and creatine phosphokinase and alleviated the ultrastructural changes of myocardial cells infected with Coxsackie virus B3(CVB3).Conclusion The PGPⅡ has anti-viral effect and significant protective effect on SD rat myocardial cells infected by Coxsackie virus B3.The effect of PGPⅡ is better than that of PGPⅠwithout Polygonum cuspidatum.
