Effects of the Crude Polysaccharides from Ginkgo biloba Sarcotesta on Immune Function in Mice

Objective To study immune regulatory activity of the crude polysaccharides with or without protein from Ginkgo biloba Sarcotesta in immune depressive mice.Methods The model of immune depressive mice was established with cyclophosphamide.The function of macrophage in abdominal activity was measured.Spectrophotometric determination was adopted to evaluate the ability of antibody producing cell.The index of immune organ was used to observe the changes of immune organ's weight.Results It showed the GBEP could enhance mouse macrophage to swallow chicken erythrocytes,significantly enhanced the content of haemolysin in mouse body and significantly increased spleen index in immuno suppression mice.Conclusion GBEP can enhance immune function of immune deficient mice,and the crude polysaccharides without protein has much better immune activity than that with protein.
