The "Internet+" Model of Mental Health Service in Community:Opportunities and Challenges

The "internet+" model of mental health service in community is a new service model which emerges from integration of mental health service and internet system to serve community residents more comprehensively,intelligently and individually.There are a lot of inadequacies existing in current mental health service in community,including the coverage of service population is limited;service categories and methods lack of variety;community residents have low recognition toward these service;the service mode is incomplete;the professional ability of mental health workers has to be promoted,mental health service in community lacks of funds,etc.And "internet+" is supposed to be able to resolve all these problems.The "internet+" model of mental health service in community is now facing both development opportunities and important challenges.Specifically,the opportunities include national and local "internet+" strategic shave created a policy background for it;the network infrastructure and the popularity of intelligent terminal equipment have offered a material condition for it;and all existing forms of network services will give a technical support to it.And the challenges include carrying out deep and systematic research on community residents' requirements for mental health and those services we can provide under current circumstances;making mental health services in community networked;and offering professional training to community mental health service workers.
