Research and Development of Spaceborne Gravity Gradiometer

Wang Xiaohai;National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Space Microwave Academy of Space Electronic Information Technology;  
The realization and features/characteristics of spaceborne gravity gradiometer measurement are stated firstly, the mission of GOCE and the condition of gravity gradiometer(satellite GOCE core payload)are introduced secondly,the research and development progress of gravity gradiometer are expounded,the absolute gravity gradiometer--a new gradiometer based atomic interferometry measurement is discussed emphatically. The conclusion that the measurement precision of absolute gradiometer is high and the application field of absolute gradiometer is wide is reached from research and analysis. Develop suggestions of spaceborne gravity gradiometer in our country are put forward finally.
