Architecture and key technology analysis of IPTV system

IPTV is a new system that integrates internet,multimedia communication and other kinds of technologies. This paper describes the architecture of IPTV system,and analyzes the key technology of content creation,content integration,content transmission,and IPTV terminal.The IPTV system based on concentrated P2P technology is also proposed to overcome the flaw of the concentrated exchange pattern in existing IPTV.It is believed that the new system will effectively improve the quality of service and performance.IPTV is moving rapidly towards mass- market adoption.The involvement of incumbent telecoms operators in most major markets by 2007 will provide the marketing,word-of-mouth and-for the many conservative-minded television viewers yet to switch to digital TV- the credibility that could boost the market for all IPTV providers.
