The Summary of Fiber Reinforced Ceramic Matrix Composites

Continuous fiber reinforced ceramicMatrix composites is one of the most future materials that are used in high temperature and structure.Every countries in the world paid attention to the materials,because those have high-toughness and high-strength. In this paper,research status of CFCC is reviewed with respect to selecting materials principle,toughening mechanism,fabrication processes and interface modification. The results show that:the select principle of the fiber must adapt the request of the use environment,and the thermodynamics between fiber and matrix must match. The chief reinforced mechanics is load transfer,micro-cracks,cracks deflection,fiber sticky point and fiber extraction. The chief preparation methods of the composites are F-W,CVI and PIP. The mainly interface modified method in present is the face coat on the fiber. In the future,the study emphases of fiber reinforced ceramic matrix composites is oxide fiber as reinforced material,simple preparing method that suits large-scale production,and simpler coating technology.
