Construction Technology of Large Cross-section Loess Tunnels with Shallow Cover and Unbalanced Load of Passenger Dedicated Line(PDL)

Research purposes:The tunnel of Zhengzhou-Xi'an PDL part of are loess tunnel.The cross-section of loess tunnel is very large and it is 163.53 m2.Construction is very difficult.During the construction of the outlet section of Hejiazhuang tunnel,the tunnel crown settles too much with cracks occurred on the ground surface.This document attempts to slove some technical problems during the construction of large cross-section loess tunnels through anlaysis and research.Research results:(1) It is preferable to adopt steel frames instead of lattice girders for large cross-section loess tunnels;(2) The structure shall be closed to form a ring as soon as possible;(3) The deformation shall be effectively controlled during every excavation step as well as the supporting;(4) The fully-sealled waterproofing shall be adopted for the ground surface.
