Structure Optimization of the Bolster for ZK6 Bogie Based on CAE

To achieve the goal of structure optimization of the bolster for railway freight car bogie,the casting numerical simulation software ProCAST is used to simulate the solidification process based on the Pro/E modeling.The solidification subsequence of casting is obtained from the simulation.According to the analysis of the temperature field,the hot spots are found and the unreasonable regions in structure design ol the product are improved.The static strength analysis for the bolster with improved structure is made with FEA software-ANSYS.ensuring its strength can satisfy the correlative standards of the Ministry of Railways.
