"Pax Islamica" and "Hua Yi Order":——An Analysis of the Relations between Abbasid Empire and China in Tang Dynasty

Abbasid Empire and the Tang Empire have something in common:firstly,despite their vast territories with various nationalities,languages and cultures,they have the empire under control.Secondly,they were supplementary economically;thirdly,they had self-centered ideology and culture;fourthly,they followed different strategy of territory and formed their own international systems.The relation between two empires is characterized by change from military and political struggle over Central Asia to peaceful coexistence and cooperation,the frequent economic and trade exchanges between two empires with the help of the silk road and the importance of cultural communication in the relations between the two empires.
