Transesterification reaction of waste oil catalyzed by solid base Na_2O/MCM-41

The technics of transesterification to produce biodiesel from waste oil catalyzed by solid base catalyst Na2O/MCM-41 was studied.The influence of different Na2O loadings,molar ratio of methanol to oil,dosage of solid base Na2O/MCM-41,reaction temperature and reaction time to transestrification were investigated.Under the following conditions: 8.0 % Na2O loading,molar ratio of methanol to oil 16∶1,catalyst dosage 3.0 %,reaction temperature 130 ℃ and time 2 h,the yield of biodiesel could reach 89.84%.
