Flow-injection Catalytic Spectrophotometric Determination of Mercury(Ⅱ) in Chinese Patent Medicine and Cigarette

Anewflow-injectioncatalytic spectrophotometric method has beendeveloped forthe determinaˉtion of mercury(Ⅱ).This method is based on the catalytic effect of mercury(Ⅱ)on the oxidation of AzureⅠby potassium bromate in sulfuric acid medium.The optimal experimental conditions were obˉtained by using the controlled-and weighed-centroid simplex method.The linear range is0.1~2.0mg/L,and the detection limit is0.02mg/L.The sampling frequency is45samples per hour.The proˉposed method has been applied for the determination of mercury(Ⅱ)in Chinese patent medicine(Tianwangbuxin pill)and cigarettes.The recovery of this method is97.8%~102.7%.
