Some Problems About the Calculation of Uplift Force on Underground Structures

LI Guang-xin , WU Jian-min (Hydraulic & Electric Eng. Dept., Qinghua Univ., Beijing 100084, China)  
With the development of underground space, some structures such as underground garages, business areas and recreation centre are found below groundwater level and without super structure over them, therefore considerable amount of anti-uplift piles or anchorages are needed. To calculate reasonably the uplift force of the underground water is a problem to be solved. In this paper some calculation conditions are presented.
