Best Shift Schedule for Automotive Performance under Different Mass Parameters

The “dynamic tri-parameter shift-point” of automotive performance under different condition of vehicle moving mass is solved in this paper,and it is verified to be the best shift point of different driving conditions.The paper analyzes the dynamic basis causing this diversity,and points out that the shift schedule should have ability to adapt the driving conditions.An idea of using the mass as shift control parameter is proposed in this paper.The research and development of this self-adaptive shift schedule is important to the automatic transmission control system.The research in this paper provided a theoretical basis for the self-adaptive shift schedule adopting the mass as shift control parameter.
