Influence of Cr Content on the Structure and Performance of Al-Cr Alloy

In this paper,the Al-Cr alloys with chromium content of 1%,,2%,,and 3%, were melted using the Al-Cr master alloy with the content of 5% chromium in the first place,and the microstructures of the alloys with different chromium contents were observed.The hardness and wear resistance of the alloys were measured.The results show that with the increase of Cr content,the amount of Cr Al7 in the alloy microstructure increases and the size also grows.The hardness of the alloy increases firstly and then decreases.The wear resistance of the alloy increases firstly and then decreases,but the effect of Cr content on hardness and wear resistance is not obvious.
