Study of the IR characteristic peaks of wild Ginsengs with FT-IR spectroscopy

SONG Wenjun(School of Biological Technology and Food Science,Tianjin University of Commerce,Tianjin 300134,China)  
FT-IR technology has been employed for the analysis of wild Ginseng,and its characteristic absorption peaks have been obtained.In the IR spectra,the characteristic peaks are 1 736,1 104 and 1 050 cm-1,which represent fat and amylase respectively.Meanwhile the secondary derivative IR spectra has been used and further enhances the apparent resolution and amplifies the information of IR spectrum.Finally,the characteristic absorption peaks of wild Ginsengs are applied to analysis Ginseng growing in different condition.Therefore FT-IR technology provides a more rapid and effective method for the discrimination of wild Ginsengs.
