Ferroelectric properties and preparation of Ba_(1-x)Ce_(2x/3)TiO_3 nanotubes

In order to study the effect of hydrothermal temperature and cerium nitrate concentration on morphology, structure and ferroelectric properties of Ba_(1-x)Ce_(2x/3)TiO_3 nanotubes, Ba_(1-x)Ce_(2x/3)TiO_3 nanotubes were prepared by water thermal method with TiO_2 nanotubes as template which is generated by anodic oxidation process. The morphology and structure were characterized by scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffractometer, and the ferroelectric properties were measured and analyzed by ferroelectric analyzer. The experimental results show that appropriately improving cerium nitrate concentration and hydrothermal temperature are beneficial to the transformation of TiO_2 nanotubes to Ba_(1-x)Ce_(2x/3)TiO_3 nanotubes, and improvement of the crystallinity and ferroelectric properties of Ba_(1-x)Ce_(2x/3)TiO_3 nanotubes. The residual polarization strength of the Ba_(1-x)Ce_(2x/3)TiO_3 nanotubes is up to 0.69 μC/cm~2 and the coercive field can reach 17.85 kV/cm when the cerium nitrate concentration is 0.01 mol/L and hydrothermal temperature is 200 ℃.
