Vertical distribution characteristics of soil nematode community in Stipa breviflora desert steppe in Inner Mongolia of China

To learn the community structure and population diversity of soil nematodes in desert steppe,four soil layers(0-5,5-10,10-20 and 20-30 cm)were sampled in the Stipa breviflora desert steppe of Inner Mongolia and the nematodes were isolated. The functional groups,community diversity and diversity index of soil nematodes were analyzed. 26 genera of soil nematodes were found in the sample site. With the increase of soil depth,the nematodes amount decreased and the vertical distribution feature of soil nematodes showed the surfacial cluster. Among the four functional groups of nematodes,bacterivorous nematodes were the dominant group,constituting 71.37% of nematodes in soil. Among the 26 genera,Acrobeles and Acrobeloides were the dominant species,constituting 46.75% and 18.73%,respectively. Among the four soil layers,free nematode index of surfacial soil layer was large,which demonstrated that the nematode community surfacial soil layer had a strong anti-interference ability.
