LONGITUDINAL SEISMIC RESPONSE ANALYSIS FOR SHANGHAI NANPU BRIDGE

Shanghai Nanpu Bridge with a main span of 423m is a cable-stayed bridge.In this paper, the incremental motion equation of the multi-support seismicexcitation is formulated by use of Clough's concept of pseudo-static displace-ment. Longitudinal seismic response analysis are made for the Nanpu Bridge,considering the pile-soil-structure interaction and travelling-wave effect, inwhich the nonlinear behaviors of stay cable, tower and prestressed wire cablesupport are included.
