Liu Weiqing(Nanjing Architectural & Civil Engineering Institute)Wei Lian Wei Chengji ( China Academy of Building Research )Ding Dajun Li Sonqbai( Southeast University )  
Through comparative tests of low-cycle loading on two one-third scale models of ordinary RC frame and friction-damped braced frame, the hysteresis behaviour, the coefficient of ductility, the degeneration on strength and stiff ness,the accumulated energy dissipation and the characteristics of restoring force of friction-damped braced frame are studied for the sake of advanced theoretical analysis and engineering practice.
