AN EXPENMERITAL STUDY OF FIRE HAZARD AT THE QINLING HIGHWAY TUNNEL

Fire in a very long highway tunnel is difficult to put out and may cause serious damage,and thus serves as one of the key factors in operation safety.Based on a large-scale fire model testing,the following aspects are studied systemically:the process of temperature variation with time,and the relationships between maximum temperature,air velocity and intensity of fire sources.Partitions of fire phases and prevention-rescue measures are proposed.The achievements are applied to the hazard prevention project of the Qinling highway tunnel,the second longest road tunnel of the world.
