Creative Involvement: The Conditions and Approach Explorations of China’s Involvement in Arctic Region Affairs

"Creative Involvement"is a new diplomatic concept full of important theoretical value,put forward by the Chinese scholar ( Wang Yizhou) in the new period. As a near-Arctic country,China needs to implement "Creative Involvement"policy towards Arctic region so as to safeguard its interests in Arctic regions and show its global responsibility. At present,the status quo of Arctic region provides a space for China. China is capable of as well as willing to involve in the affairs of Arctic region,and China is approaching the problems of identity, institution,technology and so on. The introduction of"Creative Involvement"has enhanced effectively China’s polar diplomacy and promoted the development of world polar cause as well. Its unique theoretical characteristics of "practicality"and "constructiveness"provide a new thinking for China’s peaceful rising and the construction of a maritime power.
