Components of the Essential Oil from Crossostephium chinense (L.) Makino

The constituents of essential oil extracted from the whole herbs of Crossostephium chinense (L.) Makino by water steam distillation were analyzed by GC-MS method.Two hundred and thirty-two compounds were separated.Their relative contents were determined.Fifty-six compounds comprising 62.59% of the total essential oil were identified.The content of the major compound,isocaryophillene,reaches up to 14.94% of the total oil.
