STUDY ON RECOVERY FACTOR OF CONDEN-SATE GAS RESERVOIRS WITH RICH CONDEN-SATE OIL EXPLOITED BY DEPLETION DRIVE

At present, the condensate gas depletion test with constant volume is performed in standard PVT, which doesn t consider the influence of porous medium. So, it hardly fits the real situation. The depletion tests of real condensate gas with rich condensate oil are performed in PTV and long cores respectively. It is revealed that the recovery factor of condensate oil in the porous medium is 2 times of that in PVT, and the recovery factor of gas in the porous medium is similar with that in PVT. Also, the real condensate oil/gas phase percolation curve and the common oil/gas phase percolation curve is tested respectively. Big difference is found between them. Further more study shows the main reason why the recovery factor of condensate oil differs so much is the difference between condensate oil/gas phase percolation curves. And it is found the recovery factor of condensate oil has rate sensitivity in condensate gas reservoirs. Fast depletion rate is favorable to improve recovery factor of condensate oil. The recovery factor of condensate oil measured by PVT test can t be used for production evaluation. In development program and numeral simulation of performance analysis, it is more reliable to estimate the recovery factor of condensate oil on porous medium with balancing condensate oil/gas phase percolation curves.
