ACTIVATION OF CH4 AND CATALYTIC REDUCTION OF NOX BY HIGH VOLTAGE PULSE DISCHARGING PLASMA

Nitric oxide covered in the exhaust gas has become a serious problem of environment, which attracts increasing attention. So, it is the focus of catalyst research to eliminate nitric oxide. Using Co-SZM-5 catalyst prepared by ion exchanging method, under oxygen existing conditions, the influence of high voltage pulse discharging plasma that join in the reaction of selective reduction of NO x by CH 4 on the activation of Co-SZM-5 is investigated. It is found the cooperative effect between the high voltage pulse discharging plasma and Co-SZM-5 is existed under the lower temperature. Based on the finding, the reaction mechanism of activation of CH 4 and catalytic reduction of NO x by high voltage pulse discharging plasma is discussed preliminarily.
