A Method to Determine the Relative Distributive Density of Debris Flow

A mathematical model of relative distributive density of debris flow is established through statistic analysis. Using the relative distri- butive density instead of actual distributive density has solved a key problem in endangering zonification of debris flow. The method has been practically tested with good results obtained in Yunnan Province and Si- chuan Province. The method is, therefore expected to be extended in practical application.
