Study on Vertical Distributon of Soil Organic Carbon in Wetlands Sanjiang Plain

LIU Jingshuang, YANG Jisong, YU Junbao, WANG Jinda  (Northeast Institute of Geography and Agricultural Ecology, CAS, Changchun 130021)   
Vertical distribution of wetland soil organic carbon (SOC) and the relationships with pH and N, in the drainage basins of Naoli River, Bielahong River and Nongjiang River in the hinterland of Sanjiang Plain, are studied. In addition, a comparison is established in the tilled land. The results show that the vertical distribution of SOC in wetlands varies with soil depth, type of plant communities and tillage pattern. More than 90 percent of SOC in 0~45cm depth has been lost in natural wetlands after reclaimed. SOC content in different layers have a significant negative relationship (r=-0.651**,P0.01) with pH, and a significant positive relationship (r=0.850**,P0.01) with total nitrogen. 
