Hot Deformation Behavior of 2507 Super Duplex Stainless Steel

The hot compression test of 12 mm hot rolled sheet of 2507 super duplex stainless steel(/%:0.022C, 0.58Si,25.35Cr,7.17Ni,4.05Mo,0.28N) with strain rate 0.01~10 s~(-6) at 1 000~1 150℃has been carried out by using MMS-200 thermal-mechanical simulator.Test results show that at definite strain rate,with increasing deformation temperature the peak stress of 2507 super duplex stainless steel decreases;and at definite deformation temperature,with increasing strain rate the peak stress increases.Based on the constitutive equation for hot deformation,the calculated hot compression average apparent stress exponent n =3.25,and hot deformation activation energy Q =460 kJ/mol.According to test dada a hot deformation equation for 2507 super duplex stainless steel at corresponding deformation condition is established.
